Hello, I'm Matthew Mullin. Since childhood, my fascination with monsters has been intertwined with a myriad of other interests. Inspired by classics like Godzilla and Ultraman, I immersed myself in the captivating world of tokusatsu, where heroes battled towering monsters in epic showdowns. Alongside my passion for tokusatsu, I developed a deep love for yokai and demons, drawn from the rich tapestry of mythologies they hail from. Exploring these mythical creatures became a cherished pastime, alongside breeding beetles and caring for reptiles and amphibians. Crafting monsters from clay and drawing became second nature to me, as I translated my imagination onto paper and into three-dimensional form. Additionally, I've always been an avid collector of vintage vinyl sofubi toys and robot toys, scouring for rare finds to add to my collection. Growing up in the US, I faced challenges in accessing related toys, but I eagerly embraced creativity, using whatever materials I could find to bring my visions to life. This journey nurtured not only a love for monsters but also a profound appreciation for the arts, nature, and exploration. Now, as an adult, I continue to channel these passions into sculpting unique creations, studying mythologies, and exploring the world around me, driven by an insatiable curiosity and a boundless love for all things fantastical and real.
